Trestle Valley Rifleman

Behind the Scenes with Project Appleseed from Bartlett Productions on Vimeo.

Watch this video - made by my friends at Bartlett Productions - to go behind the scenes with Project Appleseed, a popular nationwide rifle marksmanship program that seeks to revive the heritage of America's founders (www.appleseedusa.org). Trestle Valley Riflemen documents the complete story of an Appleseed event, beginning with instructor preparation, and ending with the excitement of being on the firing line!

You can find our more information about the film at www.trestlevalley.bartlettproductions.com.

Harp CD Giveaway!

To celebrate my new blog face lift, I'm doing a giveaway of my Christmas harp CD!

"This CD makes a great Christmas gift (for yourself or your friends)! You will be blessed by the soothing sound of the harp, and also enjoy the traditional Christmas music. It’s also perfect for background music while baking Christmas cookies or entertaining guests. Hannah's brother Caleb joins her with his fiddle on two songs (#3 and #6), and Hannah - besides playing the harp - also plays pennywhistle (#6) and the chimes (#2). You can view the harp CD page to hear a sample and see a list of the songs included!"

Go to my website to check out the harp CD page: www.gloryandgrace.com

Okay, so here are the rules for entering . . .

TO ENTER:

Leave a comment describing where God has called you to "GO" at this time in your life.

When I went to the conference in OH this past October, the theme was GOing where God calls you - it may be helping out with younger siblings, running a ministry, sharing Christ with people at your job, working from home, being Christ to your elderly neighbor, or traveling to Africa! If we are living in surrender to Jesus, and following His will for our lives, our GOing - into all the world - is important no matter where it is (which is definitely something I'm still working on myself)! If you'd like, you can listen to the messages from the conference HERE.

TO GET MORE ENTRIES:

Leave a comment letting me know you that you've posted about this giveaway on your blog, Facebook, Twitter, or other social media.

If you'd like to share about the giveaway at more than one place, go ahead! You will receive one entry for EACH place you share it, but you MUST leave a separate comment for each time.

Follow my blog.

If you already follow my blog, that's fine - leave a comment either way! :-)

Copy the Glory and Grace gadget and put it on your blog or website.

Be sure to leave me a separate comment with a link to let me know you did it!

This giveaway will END at midnight CST on DECEMBER 13th, so start entering now!! I will randomly choose a winner and announce who it is on the 14th.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Contact Your Senators!

The United States Senate will vote next Tuesday (Dec. 4th) on a United Nations treaty that represents a grave threat to U.S. sovereignty, parental rights and the well-being of disabled children.

The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) sounds innocuous, but it would authorize bureaucrats rather than parents to decide what is best for all children with disabilities.

As former Senator Rick Santorum said, “In America, that is the parents’ job, certainly not the government’s.”

There is an additional provision in this treaty that would require disabled persons to receive “reproductive health” services. This could grant the UN the ability to force America to provide abortions or sterilization to the disabled at taxpayer expense.

This dangerous bill can be stopped if just 34 senators can be found to oppose it. Your senators are getting enormous pressure from the big government, pro-choice crowd to vote for this bill, so it is critical that they hear from you today.

PLEASE TAKE ACTION

Contact your two senators TODAY and urge them to vote “NO” on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).

To find out more, or to get information on calling/writing your senators, please visit the AFA website (which is where I copied this info from) or www.parentalrights.org.

P4C 2012 Part 2

During the daily sessions, we had times of worship and singing with a cello, piano, and violin in the background. It was beautiful!

Our theme song was O Church Arise, which I thought was really neat because that was Caleb's theme song at ALERT.

Mr. Dewey Novotny

Our . . . wonderful cooks . . . again . . .  :-)

One of the most creative, wonderful ideas that P4C had was new idea to me - Lunch with Jesus. We all received a sack lunch and went out into the woods, or our cabin, or wherever we wanted . . . alone . . . for an hour and a half! It was an amazing time, and I'd recommend you try it out at home!

There were so many BEAUTIFUL fall leaves everywhere!!

Right after lunch with Jesus, I went on the zip line. I loved it! I had never done anything like that before, and it was scary, thrilling, and awesomely fun all at the same time!

I went on the zip line once, and then had to rush back for my "hair appointment" at my cabin. Hannah and Amanda both worked on my hair for a special event that was that evening - thanks girls! That was a blast!

You'll have to find out next time what the event was . . . but here are a couple clues . . . until next time!
